Sandy Rhoades

Sandy Rhodes, a native of South Carolina who lives in the beautiful Low Country . She began painting with oils at the early age of 12. After college, she taught in private and public schools along with private teaching in her home for adults and children.
Having used all mediums, she finds that oils gives her the best range of development for her looser style of impressionism which allows a powerful statement with texture and color. Her main subjects are the glorious scenes of the May River, dog portraits and of late, Gullah art. She has painted on just about anything, including several Murals.
