Karen Sandusky Mosholder

Throughout her myriad careers – journalist, product marketing manager for a medical device manufacturer, education coordinator at a program for at-risk children, writing and literature educator, beekeeper, and founder of Bumbleberry Farms – storytelling has been at the heart of Mosholder’s life experiences.

Sandwiched between two generations of artists – a mother and self-taught painter, and son Kyle, a Bennington College-educated artist and creator living in New York City – she has always been inspired by family and the art they produced. This, coupled with raising two deaf children, Jon and Caitlin, in a highly visual communication environment, has spurred her own desire to pick up a brush and palette knife to create visual stories in oil and acrylic that inspire others to consider the world through rainbow-colored lenses.
Mosholder, formerly from Pennsylvania, lives and loves in Beaufort, SC, along with her husband, Jeff.
