Photography is my medium, but I have been drawing, painting and writing since childhood. My father’s cameras and darkroom called me early. Monochrome images made from traditional or infrared film were my preference. Twenty years ago, I added the old-world art of hand-painting my photographs. I’ve embraced the digital process, of course, but I miss the zen of darkroom work. Acrylics and oils applied to paper and canvas prints transform them; it is supremely satisfying.

Critics have described my art as “visual poetry.”-- both my art and poetry have received numerous awards. Though I am proud of my New Jersey roots, for 25 years, it has been a joy to live here in the Lowcountry among the kind, interesting, and nurturing people who create, love, and, yes, buy art.
