Beth Bronnum Stern

Over the past 20 years as a professional artist, my work has been an evolution of contemporary still life, portraying traditional still life subjects in a non-traditional way; portraits, cityscapes, and seascapes. I mostly work in oil on canvas or linen. My work was influenced by the Greenwich Village studios where I worked with artists from around the world, and learned many different perspectives and types of art expression. It is important to me to create work that is vibrant and colorful, with a relaxed feel.

After graduating from Emory University with a degree in Business Administration, I pursued my love of painting, and moved to New York to receive my Masters of Art at New York University. My husband Roger and I raised three children in Bedford, NY. We currently spend most of our time at our home in Fripp Island, SC.
