My aim is to create pieces of art in an elegant and romantic light.

My hope is to encourage people to appreciate the beauty and simplicity in everday objects.

Christopher Marshall began painting in 1964 after being bedridden in a body cast at the age of 12 as a result of a car accident. His grandfather gave him his first easel and set of Oils while his mother set up still lifes for him to study and paint.

Christopher spent his high school years studying in general art classes and passionately collecting books on fine arts. He made countless trips to the Detroit Institute of Arts to develop his keen eye for detail by observing the work of the masters.

He attended two years in the art program at Oakland Community College and has been invited to workshops with Robert Wilbert of Wayne State University and Monte Thompson of the Center for Creative Studies. He also studied with James Sulkowski at a workshop on Hilton Head Island.
