The Intercontinental Art Experience
February 19-26, 2017
The Intercontinental Art Experience creates an artistic bridge between Europe and America. The close historical ties between these two geographic regions will be showcased on the local level in Beaufort, South Carolina. Internationally recognized French artists will be joined by popular Lowcountry artists in a curated exhibit that explores life and landscape of coastal France and South Carolina. This one-of-a-kind art experience will be held February 19-26 at Tabby Place, 913 Port Republic Road in historic downtown Beaufort. The show will be open from 12 noon – 7pm daily and is free to the public.

The public is invited to bring a bag lunch and join a conversation led by experts in contemporary art, French regional culture and local history. Friday will feature a “gallery walk” with the artists. Visitors will have an opportunity to meet artists and gain an intimate portrait of inspiration, creativity and expertise. “Art is a reflection of humanity. Through the ages art documents society, cultures and the inspirations of people in their time. The artistic bridge between cultures offers an opportunity for dialogue and dialogue can lead to a deeper understanding between people. The Intercontinental Art Experience provides a platform for cultural exchange, education and discussion.”
