An Exhibiting Artist Membership offers local artists the opportunity to exhibit and sell their works through the Gallery as well as to learn the operations of a working gallery open year round to the public. Exhibiting Artists may display a maximum of 2 original pieces of art during each show. In addition, they may put up to 8 other items in the general sales bins (with the exception of original jewelers who can place a maximum of 25 pieces).

Since the Gallery is run by Member volunteers, an Exhibiting Artist must be able to work in the B.A.A. Gallery on Bay Street in Beaufort at least one day in a month as a sales staff person, greeter, or other assigned duties. In addition, Exhibiting Members will be required to volunteer in other activities necessary to maintain and run the Gallery, to participate in committees, special shows and exhibits, and to do administrative work in addition to their required day of work at the Gallery. Many artists choose to donate more hours of their time. (People unable to fulfill this work requirement may arrange to have someone else perform their required tasks by either exchanging work days with another member, having a friend or family member fulfill their obligation, or pay an approved temp to work their shift.) In addition, Exhibiting Members will be expected to maintain their submitted work and bin sales, and the shipping of their work to clients wishing delivery.
